Tomball Jet Center Aircraft Maintenance Department was launched in June 2006. Heading up this program is Harry Driscoll, Aircraft Maintenance Manager, who has over 20 years of aviation marketing, operations management, maintenance and flight operations.
Another key person is Majed Shehadeh, Director of Maintenance, who has over 18 years of experience in the aviation maintenance industry. Majed holds an Airframe & Powerplant Certificate/Inspection Authorization and specializes in electronics navigation & communication systems, routine maintenance and trouble shooting. Majed was instrumental in getting the FAA Repair Station Certification for TJC. In the shop is Joe Palmas, who is part of a growing team certificated aircraft technicians supporting Majed in day to day aircraft maintenance operations.
The TJC Aircraft Maintenance Department’s team is dedicated to providing professional customer service and quality repair and maintenance services for piston single and twin aircraft. Other services provided are pre-purchase inspections, annual inspections as well as phase inspections.
TJC’s goal is to create for its aviation customers a convenient, “one-stop-repair-shop” that offers a complete aircraft maintenance and repair package. By providing repair, maintenance and avionics service at one location, this will be beneficial to the customer by reducing transportation and down-time costs. Please contact TJC Aircraft Maintenance for a repair quote of your aircraft.

Southern States Aviation opened up its avionics shop at Tomball Jet Center in July 2006. Formerly located on the east side of Hooks Airport, Southern States Aviation has relocated to the much larger TJC facility to provide full aircraft avionics service to small and large aircraft Texas.
The owner, Ron Connor began his avionics career in 1988 as an apprentice in the Parts Department of Mort Hall Aviation, which had been in operation since 1983. Ron later bought the business, renaming it Southern States Aviation. SSA’s key technical staff includes Ray Carr, a 50 year veteran in the avionics business, formerly of Mort Hall Aviation too, and now Robert Mulato, a former US Army avionics mechanic for 8 years. SSA knows a number of qualified contractors they call in to help as the needs arise.
Southern States Aviation works on an average of 3–4 aircraft at a time in the hangar, as well as transient aircraft that need immediate attention. Their services consist of bench work for radio repair and installation and maintenance of avionics for all types of aircraft. SSA has built a reputation of quality workmanship within the aviation community which shows through its loyal customer base. So stop by Southern States Aviation to have your aircraft avionics repaired or upgraded today!
